If various religion's beliefs are taught for years, how can someone one day decide that one of the beliefs can be changed? Does religion change "with the times"?
Double whammy for today.

There's no such thing as a stupid question!
I think religion is what one person believes. So if their thoughts stray a bit, it shouldn’t be a problem. And i don’t think it changes in time. Because im sure there are people who still do it like they belong in the 50’s or something. Not everyone advances.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think religions DO go in and out of fashion. For example, in the 50's Christianity would be a lot more popular and more people would identify as Christians, and few would identify as pagans or Wiccans. Compare this to today when you could easily find people who identify as pagans or Wiccans and are socially accepted even with this alternative lifestyle. And one religious's views, in my opinion, can grow and change as one develops their own beliefs based on their world experiences.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy both you're perspectives. I also enjoy the fact that you both took it in different directions than I originally ment, but for the better! That's why I didn't put in an example, because then these interpretations would never have sprung.
